Effective Date: February 22, 2026
These terms govern every production order placed with BookFilms.TV, a production service of NexFrame Studios. Please read them before placing an order. By purchasing any production tier or add-on service, you agree to the terms set out below.
For the purposes of these Terms of Service, the following definitions apply throughout.
"BookFilms.TV" refers to the animated film production service operated by NexFrame Studios, accessible at bookfilms.tv.
"NexFrame Studios" refers to the parent company operating BookFilms.TV and its associated production services.
"Client" refers to any individual, author, publisher, literary agent, or entity that places an order for production services through BookFilms.TV.
"Production" refers to any animated short film, trailer, additional language version, or other deliverable produced by BookFilms.TV pursuant to a placed order.
"Deliverables" refers to all files, materials, and assets provided to the Client upon final delivery, including but not limited to the animated film, trailer files, production stills, and associated audio components.
"Order" refers to any purchase of a production tier, add-on service, or upgrade completed through the BookFilms.TV website or confirmed in writing with NexFrame Studios.
"Storyboard" refers to the full film adaptation storyboard and character reference sheets developed by the studio prior to production and provided to the Client for review and approval.
2.1 All orders are placed through the BookFilms.TV website or confirmed in writing with the studio. An order is considered placed and binding upon completion of payment.
2.2 All prices listed on the BookFilms.TV website are in United States Dollars (USD) and are inclusive of the full production scope described for each tier. Add-on pricing is listed separately and applies in addition to the base tier price.
2.3 Payment is due in full at the time of order. Production does not commence until payment has been received and confirmed.
2.4 BookFilms.TV reserves the right to modify pricing at any time. Price changes do not affect orders that have already been placed and paid.
2.5 For publisher volume orders and multi-title arrangements, payment terms may be negotiated separately and confirmed in writing. Any agreed volume pricing supersedes the standard website pricing for the duration of the agreed arrangement.
3.1 Upon receipt of payment and all required inputs — including the full manuscript, book cover, and any relevant creative direction — the studio will develop and deliver a full film adaptation storyboard and character reference sheets for the Client's review.
3.2 Production does not begin until the Client has reviewed and approved the storyboard in writing. The Client may request adjustments to the storyboard prior to approval. There is no limit on storyboard revision exchanges prior to approval.
3.3 Once the storyboard is approved by the Client, production is considered released. The approved storyboard constitutes the agreed creative scope of the production. Changes to the creative scope after storyboard approval are subject to the revision terms set out in Section 4.
3.4 Production lead times run from the date of storyboard approval, not from the date of order. Lead times are estimates and reflect standard production scheduling. While the studio makes every reasonable effort to meet stated lead times, they are not guaranteed and do not constitute a contractual delivery deadline unless separately agreed in writing.
3.5 The Client is responsible for providing accurate, complete, and timely inputs. Delays in submitting required materials, responding to storyboard review requests, or approving production stages may extend the production timeline. BookFilms.TV accepts no liability for production delays arising from late or incomplete Client inputs.
3.6 For books with limited or no existing illustrations, the studio will develop all required visual assets — including character design, backgrounds, and environmental elements — from the manuscript and chosen animation style. This development work is included in the base production cost.
4.1 Every order includes one minor revision at no additional cost. A minor revision is defined as an adjustment to on-screen text overlays, narrator voiceover timing, or music timing that does not require reworking animation, re-recording voice performances, or replacing the musical score.
4.2 A major revision is defined as any change that requires reworking one or more animated scenes, altering character voice design, replacing background music, restructuring the editorial assembly of the film, or any other change that requires significant additional production work. Major revisions are charged at a flat rate of USD $129 per affected scene, applicable to all production tiers.
4.3 The scope and cost of any major revision will be confirmed with the Client in writing before the revision work begins. Major revision charges are payable before the revised material is delivered.
4.4 Revisions are available from the date of final delivery. The included minor revision must be requested within 30 days of final delivery. Revision requests made after 30 days of final delivery are not covered by the included revision and will be assessed individually.
4.5 Animation style changes requested after storyboard approval but before production completion are treated as major revisions and charged accordingly. Animation style changes requested after final delivery are not available under the standard production agreement.
5.1 Upon completion of production, the finished film and all ordered deliverables are provided to the Client via a shared Google Drive or Proton Drive folder. The studio will notify the Client by email when the delivery folder is ready.
5.2 All films are delivered as MP4 video files at the resolution specified by the Client's production tier — Full HD (1920×1080) for Spark, Spotlight, and Showreel productions, and 4K (3840×2160) for Feature and Premiere productions. Clients who have purchased the 4K upgrade will receive files at 4K resolution.
5.3 Cloud storage access to the delivery folder is maintained for seven days from the date of delivery notification. The Client is responsible for downloading all deliverables within this period. BookFilms.TV accepts no liability for files not downloaded within the access window.
5.4 Production stills — high-resolution, print-ready PNG files — are available upon written request within 30 days of final delivery at no additional cost. Any unrequested production assets, including production stills and intermediate production files, are permanently deleted after 30 days of final delivery. BookFilms.TV accepts no liability for assets not requested within this window.
5.5 For additional language versions ordered simultaneously with the primary film, all language versions are delivered together with the primary film at no additional lead time. Language versions ordered after delivery of the primary film carry the standard lead time applicable to the Client's production tier.
5.6 Trailers ordered as add-ons alongside the primary film are delivered in the same delivery folder as the primary film. Trailers ordered after primary film delivery are delivered separately upon completion.
6.1 Orders cancelled before the storyboard has been delivered to the Client are eligible for a full refund.
6.2 Orders cancelled after the storyboard has been delivered to the Client but before the Client has approved pilot scenes are subject to a cancellation fee of USD $49, reflecting the adaptation and design work completed. The remaining balance will be refunded.
6.3 Once the Client approves the pilot scenes, the order is final. No cancellations, refunds, or credits are available after pilot scene approval. Production resources are committed at this stage and cannot be recovered.
6.4 BookFilms.TV reserves the right to cancel an order and issue a full refund if the submitted manuscript or materials are determined to be unsuitable for production — including but not limited to materials that infringe third-party intellectual property, contain unlawful content, or fall outside the studio's stated production scope. The studio will notify the Client of any such determination before exercising this right.
7.1 Upon final delivery and receipt of full payment, the Client holds full commercial ownership of all Deliverables — including the animated film, all trailer formats, the original score, all voiceover recordings, and every production component included in the delivery.
7.2 The Client may use the Deliverables for any commercial or non-commercial purpose without restriction, including but not limited to marketing, advertising, social media distribution, retail platform presentation, educational licensing, theatrical screening, streaming distribution, press distribution, book republication, and curriculum materials.
7.3 There are no ongoing licensing fees, usage royalties, platform restrictions, or geographical limitations attached to any Deliverable produced by BookFilms.TV.
7.4 A publisher or studio logo may be included in the film or trailer upon written request at the time of order or during the storyboard phase.
7.5 BookFilms.TV retains the right to display completed productions as portfolio samples and promotional references unless the Client requests otherwise in writing at the time of order or delivery. For productions under embargo — forthcoming titles, confidential projects, or works under publication agreement — the Client should notify the studio at the time of order. The studio will withhold the production from any public display until written clearance is received from the Client.
8.1 The Client warrants that they hold the rights necessary to commission an animated film adaptation of the submitted manuscript — including the right to adapt the work for screen, the right to use any existing illustrations submitted as production references, and the right to authorize the production activities described in these Terms.
8.2 The Client indemnifies NexFrame Studios and BookFilms.TV against any claims, losses, or liabilities arising from the Client's submission of materials to which the Client does not hold the necessary rights.
8.3 BookFilms.TV retains no intellectual property rights in the Deliverables upon final delivery and payment. All rights in the Deliverables pass to the Client as described in Section 7.
8.4 BookFilms.TV retains ownership of all production processes, methodologies, animation assets, voice libraries, and proprietary tools used in the creation of the Deliverables. Ownership of the production process is distinct from ownership of the Deliverables and does not limit the Client's rights under Section 7.
8.5 The BookFilms.TV name, logo, and associated brand marks are the property of NexFrame Studios. The Client may not use the BookFilms.TV or NexFrame Studios name, logo, or brand marks in connection with the Deliverables without prior written consent, except to attribute production credit in a standard production acknowledgment format.
9.1 Additional language versions are produced with lip-synced dialogue in the target language, with character voice consistency preserved through professional voice matching.
9.2 Due to natural differences in how languages express the same content — including differences in syllable count, speech rhythm, and sentence structure — perfect lip-sync alignment in every scene across every language cannot be guaranteed. The studio optimizes lip-sync accuracy to the highest achievable standard for each language. Minor variations in lip-sync precision are a normal characteristic of multilingual animation production and do not constitute a defect in delivery.
9.3 Significant timing adjustments required by specific language versions — where they materially affect scene count or total runtime — will be communicated to the Client during production.
10.1 BookFilms.TV and NexFrame Studios are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of the Deliverables, delays in production, or any other aspect of the service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
10.2 The total liability of BookFilms.TV and NexFrame Studios to the Client under any order is limited to the total amount paid by the Client for that order.
10.3 BookFilms.TV makes no warranties regarding the commercial performance of the Deliverables, including but not limited to claims about sales impact, audience reach, platform performance, or educational licensing outcomes.
