2.1 Information you provide directly
When you submit an inquiry through the contact form, place an order, or communicate with the studio by email or phone, we collect the information you provide. This may include your name, email address, phone number, professional role, book title, manuscript content, Amazon listing URL, and any other details included in your communication.
2.2 Information collected automatically
When you visit bookfilms.tv, standard web analytics data is collected automatically. This includes your IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, time spent on pages, and referring URL. This data is collected in aggregate and is used solely for the purpose of understanding how the website is used and improving the service.
2.3 Payment information
Payment processing is handled by third-party payment providers. BookFilms.TV does not store, process, or have access to your payment card details. All payment data is handled directly by the payment processor under their own security and privacy standards.
We use the information we collect for the following purposes only.
To respond to inquiries and provide production services — including developing storyboards, producing films, delivering files, and communicating about your order throughout the production process.
To process payments and maintain order records — in compliance with financial record-keeping requirements.
To improve the website and production service — using aggregated, anonymized analytics data to understand how the site is used and where it can be improved. No individual user is identified in this analysis.
To send service-related communications — including order confirmations, storyboard delivery notifications, production updates, and delivery notifications. We do not send unsolicited promotional communications to Clients.
To maintain the newsletter subscription list — if you have subscribed to the BookFilms.TV blog newsletter, we use your email address to send new article notifications. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every newsletter communication.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making, profiling, or any purpose beyond those stated above.
BookFilms.TV uses cookies — small text files stored on your device — for the following limited purposes.
Essential cookies are required for the website to function correctly. They enable basic functions such as page navigation and form submission. The site cannot function properly without them.
Analytics cookies collect anonymized data about how visitors use the website. This data helps us understand which pages are most useful and where the site can be improved. No personally identifiable information is included in analytics data.
Preference cookies remember your settings and preferences — such as your cookie consent choice — so you do not need to re-enter them on subsequent visits.
You may manage or disable cookies through your browser settings at any time. Disabling essential cookies may affect the functionality of the website.
BookFilms.TV uses a limited number of third-party services in the operation of the website and production service. Each third party operates under its own privacy policy and data protection standards.
Payment processing is handled by a third-party payment provider. Your payment card details are never transmitted to or stored by BookFilms.TV.
File delivery is handled via Google Drive and Proton Drive. Files shared through these services are subject to the privacy policies of Google and Proton respectively. Delivery folder access is time-limited and removed after one week.
Website analytics are handled by a third-party analytics provider using anonymized, aggregated data. No personally identifiable information is shared with the analytics provider.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to any third party for marketing, advertising, or commercial purposes.
We retain your personal information for as long as is necessary to provide the service and fulfill our legal and financial record-keeping obligations.
Order and production records — including correspondence, manuscript materials, and production files — are retained for a minimum of three years from the date of final delivery, in accordance with standard business record-keeping practice.
Production assets — including animation files, score files, voiceover recordings, and production stills — that are not claimed by the Client within 30 days of final delivery are permanently deleted. Delivered files are the Client's responsibility from the date of delivery.
Newsletter subscriber data is retained until the subscriber unsubscribes. Unsubscribe requests are processed within five business days.
Inquiry data from the contact form — for inquiries that do not result in an order — is retained for a period of twelve months and then deleted.
Depending on your location, you may hold certain rights regarding your personal information under applicable data protection law — including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for individuals in the European Union and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) for California residents.
These rights may include the right to access the personal information we hold about you, the right to request correction of inaccurate information, the right to request deletion of your information where no legal obligation to retain it exists, the right to object to or restrict certain types of processing, and the right to data portability.
